Buckeyes Win Keuka Tri-Meet

The Keuka College synchronized swimming team finish second out of three teams at the Keuka College tri-meet on Sunday. The No. 2 ranked Buckeyes swept all four routines to finish with a score of 86 and win the competition. Keuka (72) was followed by Wheaton College (48).
Keuka’s Shannon Crowder (Durban, South Africa/Durban Girls College) enjoyed her second straight big day as she finished second in the solo routine with a score of 85.250. Crowder finished just a point behind Ohio State’s Hilary Deason. In third place was Keuka’s Corenn Cookerly (Brownsburg, IN/Brownsburg) with a 84.750.
Keuka’s duo of Jennifer Kaminska (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) and Brianne Lojo (Westfield, NJ/Union Catholic) placed third (82.250) behind a duo from Ohio State (87.500) and Wheaton (83.500).
The Buckeyes claimed the top two spots in the trio with Keuka’s Cookerly, Crowder, and Kaminska taking third with an 85.750.
The Storm’s “A” team grabbed third place while its “B” team took fourth. Ohio State won with an 89.750 while Wheaton took second with a 84.750. Keuka’s top consisting of Cookerly, Crowder, Kaminska, Lojo, and Tracy Ringel (Columbia, MD/Atholton) ended with an 84.000. The Storm’s “B” team of Samantha Johnston (Altamont, N.Y./Guilderland), Felicia Lenzo (Endicott, N.Y./Maine-Endwell), Megan Reed (Glenfield, N.Y./South Lewis), Adriana Riano (Rochester, N.Y./Rush-Henrietta), and Sarah Silverman (Shrewsbury, MA/Shrewsbury) finished with a score of 71.750.
The Storm will next compete in the East Regionals at Canisius College on March 8-9.
