Storm Fall to Saxons

The women’s tennis team finished its regular season by dropping a 9-0 decision to the Saxons of Alfred University on Wednesday. Keuka falls to 5-5 overall while Alfred improved to 8-3 on the season.
Despite the loss the Storm found out good news as they finished the regular season with a 5-1 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) record which ties them with Penn State-Berks. However, the Storm defeated the Nittany Lions 5-4 during the season, therefore winning the tie-breaker and the NEAC regular season championship. The Storm will now be the No. 1 seed in the NEAC Tournament.
Against Alfred, the Storm lost all six singles matches and all three doubles matches to a very good Saxon squad.
The Storm will next compete in the NEAC Championships at the Birchwood Tennis Club in Clarks Summit, PA on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 26-27. Things will get started at about 10 am on Friday.
