Volleyball Shuts Out Visiting Oswego

The women’s volleyball team won its third straight match in a row as they knocked off the visiting Lakers of Oswego State by a score of 3-0 on Wednesday.
The Storm avenged its 3-0 loss to the Lakers last season, to improve to 10-8 on the year. Oswego falls to 8-13 overall.
All three games were close (25-23, 25-22, 25-23) but the Storm were able to get the key points at the end to close out each match. The Storm finished with 22 kills and 43 digs in the three games.
Sophomore Raelle Naegely (Colorado Springs, CO/Pine Creek)led Keuka with eight kills while also digging five balls. Junior Holly McHale (Carthage, N.Y./Jefferson CC) added four kills and a team-high 13 digs. Rookie Kandace Scharles (Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua) also killed four balls.
Sophomore setter Katy Geers (Fulton, N.Y./G. Ray Bodley) dished off nine assists and ended with 10 digs.
The Storm will next play Thursday, Oct. 2 in a make-up game at Alfred University beginning at 7 pm.
