Geers and Robinson Named Keuka Athletes of the Week

Keuka College volleyball player Katy Geers (Fulton, N.Y./G. Ray Bodley) and golfer Josh Robinson (Barton, N.Y./Tioga)were both named Keuka Athletes of the Week for the week ending Oct. 4.
Geers, a sophomore setter on the Storm’s 11-8 squad, helped guide the Storm to a 2-0 week while leading Keuka in assists, and digs. In a 3-0 win over Oswego State, Geers dished off nine assists while digging 10 balls. She also added a kill and an ace. She followed that up with a nine assist, 12 kill performance in a 3-1 win over Alfred University. Geers was also named the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Volleyball Player of the Week. Geers also added four kills and two more aces. On the season, Geers has 103 assists and 66 digs in 43 games.
Robinson, a senior and reining NEAC Golfer of the year, continued his torrid play while being named the medalist at the Cazenovia College Invitational. Robinson shot a 76 on the par 71 course and bested the second place finisher by two strokes. His score also led the Storm to first place finish out of seven teams. Robinson has finished in the top-five in all five evens so far this fall.
