Lady Runners Take 7th at Naz Invite

Freshman Heather Fischer finished third for the Storm for the third time this season.
The Keuka College Lady Storm cross country runners ran to a seventh place finish at the Nazareth College Invitational on Saturday.
The Storm placed seventh out of eight teams in the short 4K race with a final score of 210. Nazareth Won its own race with a score of 35. The Golden Flyers were followed by Oswego State (57), Daemen College (70), Fredonia State (84), and Utica College (121).
Senior Catherine Armani-Munn (Plattsburgh, N.Y./Seton Catholic) was the first to cross the finish line for the Storm as she ran in a time of 18:51 to place 46th overall out of 76 runners. Behind Armani-Munn was classmate Lindsey Peck (Sodus, N.Y./Williamson) who finished in 52nd place in a time of 19:25.
Freshman Heather Fischer (Marietta, N.Y./Tully) placed third for Keuka for the third time this season. Fischer posted a time of 20:10 while running in 59th place. Fellow rookie Maddie Reynolds (Clinton, N.Y./Clinton) placed 64th overall in a time of 20:59. Senior Joelle Soules (Binghamton, N.Y./Chenango Valley) rounded out the Storm’s top-five as she ended in 67th place (21:28).
The Storm will next run in the University of Rochester Invitational this Saturday, Oct. 18 beginning at 11 am.
