Men’s Soccer Record Fifth Straight Win with Shutout of PSH

Senior Brandon Scott recorded his fifth straight game-winning goal in the Storm's latest win.
The Keuka College men’s soccer team recorded its fifth straight win with a 3-0 shutout of the Lions of Penn State-Harrisburg on Saturday.
The Storm waited until the second half to score all of its goals as they improve to 8-1-1 on the year while Harrisburg falls to 5-6 overall.
Keuka’s high-scoring forward, Brandon Scott (Fillmore, N.Y./Fillmore), kept his streak of game-winning goals alive. Scott has now scored the game-winning goal in an impressive five straight games, every game of the Storm’s current winning streak. He has six game-winning goals on the year in just nine games.
Neither team was able to find the back of the net in the first-half as both teams shot just four times a piece. Keuka would only take one more shot then Harrisburg in the second half (11-10) but were able to score three times.
Scott would get the Storm going with his 11th goal of the year in the 64th minute. Keuka sophomore

Sophomore Carl Learned netted his fifth and sixth goals of the season.
Carl Learned (Elmira, N.Y./Elmira Free Academy) would then net two straight goals to put the game out of reach.
Learned’s first goal came in the 75th minute off a pass from senior sweeper Justin Viele (Rochester, N.Y./Greece Olympia). He second goal, and sixth of the season, was an unassisted goal in the 86th minute of play.
The two teams combined for 51 fouls and eight yellow cards in a very aggressive game. Keuka’s Mike Meskill (Trumansburg, N.Y./Charles O. Dickerson) picked up his fifth shutout of the season in goal while stopping five shots. Harrisburg’s Toan Ngo ended with four saves.
Keuka will next play at Nazareth College this Tuesday, Oct. 14 beginning at 4 pm.
