Senior Soccer Stars Share Keuka Athlete of the Week Honors

Keuka College’s soccer programs both got a huge lift from two of its seniors this past week as Brenna Leach (Rochester, N.Y./Our Lady of Mercy) and Brandon Scott (Fillmore, N.Y./Fillmore) played vital parts in its wins. The duo were both named Keuka College Athletes of the Week for the week ending Oct. 11.
Leach, a midfielder on the Lady Storm’s 5-5-1 team, helped Keuka to a 1-0-1 week. Leach kicked in the game-winning goal with just 31 seconds remaining to give the Storm a 2-1 win over Penn State-Harrisburg. The goal, Leach’s first of the season, was her 12th of her career.
Scott, a forward on the Storm’s 8-1-1 squad guided Keuka to a 2-0 week. Scott started by scoring two goals in Keuka’s 3-1 win over D’Youville College and then scored another goal in the Storm’s 3-0 win over Penn State-Harrisburg. Even more impressive then his three goals is that two of them were the game-winners. Scott now has a string of five straight games with the game-winner. He has six game-winners on the season and 11 goals in all. Scott was also named the NEAC Men’s Soccer Athlete of the Week.
