Lady Storm Runners Take 5th at NEACs

Senior Lindsey Peck's 16th place finish led the Storm at the NEAC Championships.
Behind the running of two seniors, the Keuka College women’s cross country team finished fifth out of seven teams at the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) championships on Saturday.
Keuka finished with a final team score of 109 while the University of Dallas won the competition with a score of 50. Dallas just barely edged out SUNY Cobleskill (50-52). D’Youville College (75) and Penn State-Berks (105) took third and fourth, respectively. After Keuka was SUNYIT (130) and Penn State-Harrisburg (180).
Seniors Lindsey Peck (Sodus, N.Y./Williamson) and Catherine Armani-Munn (Plattsburgh, N.Y./Seton Catholic)finished 16th and 19th out of 55 runners in the 5K race held at SUNY Cobleskill. Peck ran in a time of 21:36 while Armani-Munn finished in a time of 21:53.
Behind the two seniors was rookie Heather Fischer (Marietta, N.Y./Tully). The freshman ran the race in 23:16 to finish 29th overall. Senior Joelle Soules (Binghamton, N.Y./Chenango Valley) placed fourth for Keuka in 32nd place (24:21). Freshman Julia Hansen (Holley, N.Y./Holley) was the final Storm runner to score as she finished in 33rd place (24:40).
