The Keuka women’s soccer team scored three late goals to break a 0-0 tie and knock off the #4 Wildcats of Cazenovia College in its NEAC Tournament semifinal match-up on Saturday.

For the second year in a row, Keuka advances to the NEAC Championship game as they will play host to #2 seeded Cobleskill State on Sunday, Nov. 9 at 1 pm.  Cobleskill defeated #6 Wells College by a score of 4-0 in its semifinal match-up.

The Storm improve to 9-5-3 overall while Cazenovia ends its season with a 6-9-2 overall mark.

The Storm dominated possession of the ball while out-shooting the Wildcats 20-2 in the game.  Still, neither team was able to score in the game’s first 63 minutes.  Sophomore Courtney McLaughlin (Warsaw, N.Y./Letchworth) finally broke the scoreless streak as she kicked a shot with some serious back spin on it that went right through the Wildcats goalie’s hands in the 64th minute.

McLaughlin would pad the lead for Keuka as she floated a perfect shot into the upper right corner of the goal just three minutes later.  The goal was McLaughlin’s team-leading seventh on the year while

Sophomore goalie Ashley Vail (Rochester, N.Y./Churchville-Chili) didn’t have to stop a single shot in goal to pick up her fourth shutout of the season.  Cazenovia’s Britney Westcott ended with four saves.
