Junior Peter Durr connected on six 3-pointers to end with 22 points.
Junior Peter Durr (Barneveld, N.Y./Utica Notre Dame) was on fire in the second half, hitting five of his six 3-pointers, but it wasn’t enough as the Storm fell at home to the Wildcats of SUNYIT by a score of 79-64.
Keuka falls to 4-8 overall and have now lost six of its last seven games. The win makes seven straight for the Wildcats as they improve to 13-5 overall. Read more
Women’s Hoops Win Streak Upped to Three with Win Over SUNYIT

Sophomore Brittany Schrock hit five 3-pointers en route to a game-high 21 points.
The Keuka College women’s basketball team inched closer to .500 with its third straight win as they knocked off the visiting Wildcats of SUNYIT by a score of 56-48 at the Weed Physical Arts Center on Saturday.
Despite an off-shooting night, the Storm found themselves in trouble only a couple of times as they improve to 5-7 on the year. SUNYIT falls to 9-8 overall with the loss. Read more

Keuka to Sponsor First Annual Yates County Charity Basketball Game

Keuka College will sponsor the first-ever Yates County Bravest vs. Finest Charity Basketball Game Sunday, Jan. 25.
The game, held at Keuka’s Weed Physical Arts Center, will put members of the Branchport/Keuka Park Fire Department, Penn Yan EMS, and the Penn Yan Fire Department against the Penn Yan Police Department, New York State Police, and Yates County Sheriff’s officers and deputies.
The game will take place at 3 p.m. with a spaghetti dinner put on by Sodexo Campus Services to follow in Keuka College’s Geiser Dinning Hall.
Cost will be $5 per person and will include entry for the game and dinner. All proceeds will go to charity.
Booker’s Tip-In at the Buzzer Gives Storm Win Over Spartans

Sophomore Diamond Booker's tip-in at the buzzer halted the Storm's five-game losing streak.
Keuka College sophomore Diamond Booker (Bronx, N.Y./Frederick Douglas Acad.) scored only eight points all game but two of them proved to be the difference in the game. The 6-7 center tipped in the ball off a missed shot by teammate Alex Coleman (Elmira, N.Y./Southside) as time expired to give the Storm a 69-67 win on the road over D’Youville College on Wednesday.
The win snaps a five-game losing streak for the Storm and they improve to 4-7 overall. D’Youville slips to 7-9 on the year.
D’Youville held the lead for the majority of the first half, until Keuka’s Justin Stern (Dewitt, N.Y./Jamesville Dewitt) scored five points in the final 37 seconds of the half to give the Storm a 38-35 advantage at the break. Read more
Lincoln’s Overtime Lay-up Pushes Keuka Past D’Youville

Sophomore Courtney Lincoln's lay-up with four seconds left in overtime gave the Storm its second straight win.
Keuka College sophomore point guard Courtney Lincoln (Waterloo, N.Y./Waterloo) had a big game setting up her teammates but in the closing seconds, it was her who made the biggest basket of all. Lincoln’s lay-up with just four seconds left in overtime propelled Keuka to a 65-63 win over D’Youville College on the road on Wednesday.
After playing in the tough JPMorgan Chase Scholarship Tournament the past week, which included a game against the nation’s top team, Keuka was more then ready to get back into action against NEAC opponents. Unfortunately for D’Youville, the defending NEAC champions, they were first on the schedule.
Keuka improves to 4-7 overall and have now won two straight. D’Youville falls below .500 as they sit at 7-8 on the year. Read more

Stern and Viggiani Ride All Tourney Nods in JPMorgan to Athlete of the Week Honors

Keuka College basketball players Justin Stern (Dewitt, N.Y/ Jamesville-Dewitt) and Angela Viggiani (Kent, N.Y/ Albion) were both named Storm Athletes of the Week after being named to the JPMorgan Chase Tournament second team this past week.
Stern, a senior guard on Keuka’s 3-7 team, led Keuka while averaging 15.7 points a game despite losing all three games in the tough JPMorgan Tournament. Stern hit 12 three’s while shooting .50% from behind the arc and .83% from the charity stripe. In the last two games, Stern scored 19 and 20 points while hitting five long balls in each contest. On the year Stern is leading the Storm with an average of 15.6 points a game and has hit 36 three pointers in only 10 games.
Viggiani, a senior forward on Storm’s 3-7 team, led Keuka while averaging 9.3 rebounds as the Storm went 1-2 in the JPMorgan Tournament. She got her first double-double in the third game against RIT netting 16 points and grabbing 13 rebounds leading her team to victory. Viggiani also went .50% from the free throw line while averaging .62% from the floor in the three games. In Keuka’s opening round loss to the University of Rochester, Ranked No. 1 in the nation, Viggiani pulled down 12 boards. On the year, Viggiani is leading the women’s team with 7.4 rebounds.
