Men’s Hoops to Face-Off Against Crusaders in NEAC Tourney

Coach Flood will steer his squad in the NEAC Tournament this Weekend at SUNYIT.
The Keuka College men’s basketball team finished the season on a 8-3 run as they ended 11-10 overall. The Storm’s excelent play down the stretch was rewarded with a No. 2 seed in the upcoming North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Tournament.
SUNYIT (19-6) was easily the top seed for the Tournament and was the only team in the conference to take both games from the Storm this season. The Wildcats will host the three day tournament beginning with the quarterfinals this Friday, Feb. 27.
Keuka will square off against the No. 7 seeded Crusaders of the University of Dallas who finished the 2008-09 campaign with an 8-17 overall record. The game will be played at 6 pm.
SUNYIT will play the winner of the play-in game that pits No. 9 Cazenovia College (6-19) at No. 8 Penn State-Harrisburg (8-17) at 8 pm on Friday. The other quarterfinal match ups will be No. 3 Wells College (12-13) against No. 6 SUNY Cobleskill (7-15) at 1 pm and No. 4 Penn State-Berks (9-16) versus No. 5 D’Youville College (10-15) at 3 pm.
The semifinals will be played on Saturday, Feb. 28 with tip-off slated for 1 and 3 pm, respectively. The championship game will be Sunday, March 1 at 1 pm.
