Baseball Falls to King’s in Rain Shortened Game

The Keuka baseball team dropped to 0-3 on the year with a 12-1 loss at the hands of King’s College on Thursday, March 26.
King’s improved to 14-5 overall. The game was stopped in the seventh inning due to rain.
The Storm were done in by two bad innings in the field and a lack of hitting as they belted just two singles in 24 at bats. King’s plated 12 runs on 13 hits. The Monarchs scored five runs in both the second and fourth frames. Keuka used two pitchers who combined to walk 11 batters in six innings of work.
Sophomore’s Mike Marsh (Elmira, N.Y./Southside) and David Janiszeski (Clarence, N.Y./Clarence) had the Storm’s two hits while senior Ed Schoeneck (Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee) drove in junior Ted Black (Turin, N.Y./South Lewis) with a ground out for Keuka’s lone run.
