Storm Lose Two of Three Doubles Matches in 5-4 Loss

The Keuka men’s tennis team and the Alfred University Saxons were tied 3-3 at the end of singles play but the Saxons took two of three doubles matches to claim a 5-4 win over Keuka on Thursday. Keuka now stands at 4-3 on the year while Alfred improves to 5-7.
Sophomore Blaine Phair (Pembroke, NH/Pembroke) and junior Casey Dahlstrom (Grand Island, N.Y./Grand Island)won the third flight of doubles by a score of 8-3 for Keuka’s lone win in doubles.
Winning in singles play was junior Will Fisher (Watkinsville, GA/Oconee) in the second flight (6-4, 7-5), Phair in the fifth flight (6-3, 2-6, 12-10), and senior James Fitch (Perry, N.Y./Perry) in the sixth flight (6-0, 6-4).
The Storm will next play at SUNY Oneonta this Friday, April 17 beginning at 4 pm.
