Fredricks and Paquette Capture Athlete of the Week Honors

The reigning North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Player of the Year Sarah Fredricks (Milton, Ontario/E.C. Drury) and baseball superstar Alex Paquette (Clinton, N.Y./Clinton) were crowned Keuka College Athletes of the Week for the week ending Apr. 19.

Fredricks, a sophomore first basemen on the Storm’s 14-1 softball team, led Keuka to 9-1 week while batting a cool .414.  Fredricks finished the week with 12 hits in 29 at bats, 13 runs scored, 14 RBIs, three doubles, and four home runs.  She had a slugging percentage of .931 and an on-base percentage of .500.  She clubbed two of her home runs in a game against D’Youville and went 3-for-5 with three RBIs, two runs scored, and a home run in a game against St. John Fisher College.  Broke a 3-3 tie with SUNY Cobleskill by belting a two-run home run in the seventh inning.

Paquette, a senior centerfielder on the Storm’s baseball team, batted .433 while leading Keuka to a 4-6 week.  Paquette finished with 13 hits in 30 at bats while ripping five doubles and scoring nine runs.  He slugged .600 and had a .452 on-base percentage.  Also went a perfect 3-for-3 in stolen base attempts while recording 27 putouts.
