Baseball Drops Pair to Pitt-Bradford

Senior Alex Paquette batted 4-for-7 with a pair of doubles.
The Keuka baseball team dropped a pair of non-conference games to Pitt-Bradford on the road Saturday. The Storm fell in game one 8-3 and lost the night cap 8-1. Pitt-Bradford improves to 13-14 overall while the Storm slip to 5-21 overall.
Game one saw the two teams bring a 3-3 tie into the bottom of the sixth inning, where Pitt-Bradford broke it open with five runs. The Panthers had two more hits (12-10) in the game. Sophomore Bobby Potter (Montour Falls, N.Y./Odessa-Montour) suffered the loss despite allowing just seven hits in five innings of work while striking out three. Freshman Nick Ventura (Auburn, N.Y./Auburn), senior Alex Paquette (Clinton, N.Y./Clinton), and junior Ted Black (Turin, N.Y./South Lewis) all had two hits a piece.
In game two, Pitt-Bradford out-hit Keuka 12-7 while sophomore David Janiszeski (Clarence, N.Y./Clarence) took the loss while striking out five Panthers in 3.1 innings of work. Paquette and Black each had two hits again while Black drove in Keuka’s lone run.
Keuka will next play at Hilbert College this Sunday, April 26 beginning at 1 pm.
