Golf Takes Sixth at Elmira Invite

The Keuka golf team placed sixth out of nine teams at the Elmira College Spring Invitational on Monday, April 27. The host school won with a finale score of 313 while Hobart College (339) placed second. SUNY Oswego (349), SUNY Potsdam (349), and Nazareth College (349) all tied for third place. Keuka (352), Elmira’s “B” team (357), Baptist Bible College (357), and SUNYIT (379) rounded out the competition.
Senior Josh Robinson (Barton, N.Y./Tioga) placed eighth with a score of 82 while rookie Curtis Evanicki (Hemlock, N.Y./Honeoye) shot an 86 to tie for 16th.
Junior Kyle Phelan (Rochester, N.Y./Greece Athena) shot a 90 as senior Alex Clark (Saranac Lake, N.Y./Saranac Lake) – 94, and junior Josh Gillen (Brantingham, N.Y./South Lewis) - 106, rounded out Keuka’s scorers.
The Storm will next play in its final match of the Spring at Baptist Bible College this Wednesday, April 29.
