Men’s Lacrosse Falls to Naz in Regular Season Finale

The Keuka men’s lacrosse team fell in its regular season finale to Nazareth College on the road by a score of 20-11.  Keuka currently sits at 7-7 overall while Nazareth improves to 9-6.

The Storm allowed 63 shot attempts while ripping 29 of its own.  Nazareth held a huge advantage on face-offs, winning 29-of-35 while also going perfect in clear attempts (21-for-21). 

Sophomore goalie Brett Leonard (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill)recorded 18 saves for Keuka, keeping the score closer then it could have been.  On offense, the Storm received two goals and an assist from senior Adam Farrell (Hamburg, N.Y./Frontier).  Freshman Gino Marcella (Rochester, N.Y./Churchville-Chili) also netted two goals for Keuka as senior TJ Radka (Waterloo, N.Y./Cayuga CC) had a goal and two assists.

Senior Drew Kunda (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill) and freshman Parker Gazda (Syracuse, N.Y./ESM) each had a goal and an assist.

Keuka, which went undefeated in conference play, will host the No. 2 seeded Mavericks of Medaille College this Saturday, May 2 at 2 pm in the NEAC Tournament Championship.
