Softball Suffers First NEAC Loss

The Keuka softball team endured its first North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) loss as they fell 4-2 to the Nittany Lions of Penn State-Berks on Monday, April 27. The game was started on March 29 but was suspended with Keuka trailing 2-1 in the fifth.
The Storm now sit at 15-1 overall in the NEAC and earn the No. 1 seed for the conference tournament. Berks improves to 12-4 in the conference.
Sophomore Kate Kraus (Williamsville, N.Y./Williamsville South) took the loss while allowing three earned with four K’s. Freshman Sara James (Wayland, N.Y./Wayland-Cohocton) was the only Storm player two have two hits while senior Lindsay Humberstone (Perry, N.Y./Perry) drove in a run.
Keuka will next play host to Alfred University this Wednesday, April 29 beginning at 3 pm.
