Women’s Lax Loses to Elmira in Final Regular Seaon Game

Senior Trista Partridge scored three goals on senior day.
The Keuka woman’s lacrosse team endured a loss to the Elmira College Soaring Eagles on senior night in Keuka Park on Wednesday, April 29. The Storm slip to 3-7 as they suffer its fifth straight loss as Elmira improves to 6-11.
The Storm were out shot by the Soaring Eagles 26-24. Keuka recorded six more ground balls then Elmira (28-22).
Senior Trista Partridge (Bath, N.Y./Haverling) led the Storm with three goals. Sophomore Courtney Potochniak (Endicott, N.Y./Maine-Endwell) added two goals in the game. Senior Brenna Leach (Rochester, N.Y./Our Lady of Mercy) and sophomore Laura Dougherty (Geneva, N.Y./Geneva) each chipped in with a goal while Dougherty and sophomore Brittany Murray (Heuvelton, N.Y./Heuvelton) each passed off two assists.
Senior Audrey Randall (Fabius, N.Y./Fabius-Pompey) fought off seven saves in her last home game at Keuka.
The Storm will next play in the NEAC championship game on Saturday, May 2 against Cazenovia College. The game will be played at Cazenovia beginning at 1 p.m.
