Softball to Square off Against St. John Fisher in NCAA Regional

Seniors Stacy Schreiner, Lindsay Humberstone, Kasie Davis, and Nicole Lesniak will lead Keuka in the NCAAs.

The Keuka College softball team (23-6) will represent the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) for a third straight year in the NCAA Tournament after winning the conference tournament over the weekend. 

The Storm received the No. 6 seed in the regional and will play No. 3 St. John Fisher College (30-10) at 12 pm on Thursday, May 7.  The games will be played at Ithaca College’s Kostrinsky Field.  Keuka split with Fisher during the regular season winning game one 2-1 and dropping the second game 11-13.

Ticket prices are $5 for adults and $2 for senior citizens, students with ID’s, and children under the age of 12.   Tickets will be sold per game as there are no all-day or all-tournament passes.

Keuka would then play Friday, May 8 at either 10 am or noon depending on if they win or lose its first game.

Cortland State (40-6) received the top seed in the regional followed by No. 2 University of Rochester (31-10), No. 3 Fisher, No. 4 Buffalo State (29-2), No. 5 Penn State-Behrend (33-6), No. 6 Keuka, and No. 7 King’s (24-12). 

On Thursday, Buffalo State and Penn State-Behrend will play at 10 am followed by Keuka/Fisher at noon.  Rochester and King’s would then play at 2 pm with Cortland and the loser of game one playing at 4 pm.
