Junior Alyssa Hermenet kicked seven of the Storm's 30 shots in the loss.
The Keuka women’s soccer dominated the possession of the ball and the shot totals but still fell 1-0 to the visiting Saxons of Alfred University on Tuesday.
Keuka drops to 3-5 overall while dropping its second straight 1-0 decision to an Empire 8 Conference team. Alfred improves to 3-5-1 on the year. Read more
Men’s Soccer Drops Second Straight 1-0 Decision

Junior Carl Learned kicked two of the Storm's five shots in the loss.
The Keuka men’s soccer team dropped its second straight game by a score of 1-0 as they fell on the road to Elmira College on Tuesday.
All three of Keuka’s losses on the year have come by way of a 1-0 decision as the Storm fall to 4-3-1 overall. Elmira ups its record to 6-2 overall.
Keuka was held to just five shots all game while Elmira finished with 20. Despite being out-shot 12-1 in the opening 45 minutes, Keuka was able to hold Elmira scoreless as they entered the second half knotted at 0-0. Read more

Second Day of Elmira Invite Washed Out; Storm Take 9th

Senior Kyle Phelan posted a season-low score of 92.
With the second day of the Elmira College Fall Invitational being rained out after just seven holes, the Storm finished in ninth place out of nine teams after its day one score of 384 on Sunday.
St. John Fisher College won the Invite with a final score of 309 besting Durham by just three strokes (312). Roberts Wesleyan College placed third with a 323 and was followed by SUNY Oswego (329) and Keystone College (330). Read more

Rookies Share Athlete of the Week Honors

A pair of first year athletes led Keuka College sports this week as golfer Tyler Hoosier (Saratoga, N.Y./Saratoga) and women’s soccer star Nicole Sharick (Corfu, N.Y./Pembroke) were both named Keuka Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sept. 26.
Hoosier led the Storm golfers to a fourth place finish at the Keuka College Invitational after shooting a seven-over par (79) to tie for second place overall out of 19 golfers. The medalist from Elmira College was just two strokes better with a 77. Hoosier has been the Storm’s top finisher in both of its matches so far this fall.
Sharick, a 5-8 forward on Keuka’s 3-4 squad, led the Storm to a 1-1 week. Sharick scored Keuka’s first two goals and assisted on the fourth goal in the Storm’s 5-0 win over Wells College. It was her third straight game with a goal and second straight game with the game-winning goal. She currently leads the team in all four major offensive categories; goals (4), assists (3), points (11), and game-winning goals (2).
Women’s Tennis Falls 7-2 to Saxons

Senior Alison Liberty won her singles match 6-4, 6-3.
The Keuka women’s tennis team dropped its second straight match to open the 2009-10 season as they fell by a score of 7-2 to the Saxons of Alfred University on the road Saturday.
Keuka now sits at 0-2 overall while Alfred improves to 7-4 on the season.
The Storm were able to snatch victories in the second and fifth flights of singles while dropping all three doubles matches. Read more
Volleyball Sweeps Caz Tri-Match

Senior Holly McHale led Keuka with 20 kills, five aces, and 29 digs.
After starting the season 1-10, the Keuka College volleyball team has responded with its third and fourth straight victories as they swept both of its matches at the Cazenovia College tri-match this Saturday.
The Storm knocked off the host Wildcats 3-1 (25-22, 26-24, 23-25, & 25-17) before shutting out the Fighting Tigers of SUNY Cobleskill 3-0 (25-21, 25-20, & 25-16). Keuka improves to 5-10 overall while Cazenovia now sits at 5-8 overall. Cobleskill stands at 3-4. Read more
