Men’s X-Country Takes 7th at SUNYIT Invite

The men’s cross country took seventh out of eight teams at the SUNYIT Wildcat Invitational this past Saturday, Sept. 5.
Keuka finished with a team score of 164 while Hobart College won the Invite with a 51. SUNYIT took second with an 85 and Wells College (107), SUNY Canton (130), and Cazenovia College (136) rounded out the top-five.
Sophomore Scott Matheis (Barker, N.Y./Barker) led the Storm with his 15th place finish out of 62 runners. He finished the 6K race in a time of 23:11.
Junior Kraig Connor (Rochester, N.Y./Greece Olympia) took 25th place with a time of 24:07 while classmate Chris Mazella (Depew, N.Y./Depew) placed 39th overall (25:49). Junior Josh Uline (Rochester, N.Y./Brighton) took fourth for Keuka in 46th place (26:41) while rookie David Parker (East Syracuse, N.Y./ESM) rounded out the Storm’s top five with his 54th place finish (29:18).
Keuka will next run in the SUNY Oswego Invitational this Saturday, Sept. 12 at noon.
