Lady Storm Place Fifth at Oswego Invite

Junior Mary Nicholas finished 67th overall.
The women’s cross country team ran to a fifth place finish out of seven teams at the SUNY Oswego Invitational this Saturday. The Storm finished the 4.5K race with a team score of 151.
Ithaca College won the race with a score of 15 as they had the top five runners. Alfred University was the runner up with a 69 followed by SUNY Cortland (74) and SUNY Oswego (110).
Junior Chelsea Socha (Himrod, N.Y./Dundee) placed sixth overall behind the five Ithaca runners in her first-ever collegiate race. Socha ran in a time of 17:58.
Rookies Elizabeth Gorman (Waverly, N.Y./Waverly) and Stephanie Pontes (Pompton Lakes, NY/Pompton Lakes) placed 50th and 51st overall in times of 21:41 and 21:42, respectively.
Sophomores Heather Fischer (Marietta, N.Y./Tully) and Maddie Reynolds (Clinton, N.Y./Clinton) were 61st (24:42) and 63rd overall (25:13).
Keuka will next run in the Hobart Invitational this Saturday, Sept. 19 beginning at 11 am.
