Storm Finish Seventh at Oswego Invite

The Keuka men’s cross country team finished in seventh place out of seven teams at the SUNY Oswego Invitational on Saturday. The Storm runners finished the 6K race with a final score of 198.
SUNY Cortland won the race with a score of 21 as they had the top four runners. Ithaca College took second with a 35 and were followed by SUNY Oswego (83), Alfred University (133), and SUNY ESF (148).
For the second race in a row, sophomore Scott Matheis (Barker, N.Y./Barker) led the Storm as he placed 48th overall out of 78 runners. Matheis ran in a time of 23:09.
Junior Kraig Connor (Rochester, N.Y./Greece Olympia) took 54th place in a time of 24:14 while rookie Justin Hess (Clyde, N.Y./Clyde Savannah) placed 61st overall (24:57). Junior Josh Uline (Rochester, N.Y./Brighton) placed 72nd (27:02) and senior Ryan Stack (Orchard Park, N.Y./Orchard Park) placed 74th (28:17), respectively.
The Storm will next run in the Hobart College Invitational this Saturday, Sept. 19 beginning at noon.
