Volleyball Drops Eighth Straight

Keuka couldn’t snap its current losing skid as they dropped a 3-0 decision to the Panthers of Pitt-Bradford on the road Wednesday.
The loss is Keuka’s eighth straight as they fall to 1-9 on the year. Pitt-Bradford improves to 6-2 overall.
Keuka improved in every set of the match but still couldn’t manage a victory as they fell (15-25, 17-25, & 23-25). Keuka finished with a team attack percentage of .247 while ripping 26 kills in the three sets. Junior Raelle Naegely (Colorado Springs, CO/Pine Creek) led the way with nine kills. Rookie Brittany Smyder (Avon, N.Y./Avon) added five kills. Freshman Demi Kauppinen (Portville, N.Y./Portville) passed off 11 assists.
Senior outside hitter Holly McHale (Carthage, N.Y./Jefferson CC) paced the Storm’s defense with 10 digs while junior middle hitter Heather Fish (Newfield, N.Y./Newfield) had two blocks.
Keuka will next play host to both SUNY Morisville (10 am) and Penn State-Abington (2 pm) this Saturday, Sept. 19. Morrisville and PSA will face each other at noon.
