Second Day of Elmira Invite Washed Out; Storm Take 9th

Senior Kyle Phelan posted a season-low score of 92.
With the second day of the Elmira College Fall Invitational being rained out after just seven holes, the Storm finished in ninth place out of nine teams after its day one score of 384 on Sunday.
St. John Fisher College won the Invite with a final score of 309 besting Durham by just three strokes (312). Roberts Wesleyan College placed third with a 323 and was followed by SUNY Oswego (329) and Keystone College (330).
The Cardinals Tyler McArdell took home medalist honors with his par of 72. Rookie Tyler Hoosier (Saratoga, N.Y./Saratoga) tied for 26th overall out of 49 golfers with a score of 86 (+14). Senior Kyle Phelan (Rochester, N.Y./Greece Olympia) posted a season-low score of 92 to tie for 40th place overall.
Junior Darron Hall (Owego, N.Y./Owego) and freshman Blake Burr (Gouverneur, N.Y/Gouverneur) both tied for 48th place overall with scores of 103.
The Storm might play in one more fall Invitational or they will pick the clubs back up in the Spring.
