The Keuka men’s soccer team dropped its second straight game by a score of 1-0 as they fell on the road to Elmira College on Tuesday.

All three of Keuka’s losses on the year have come by way of a 1-0 decision as the Storm fall to 4-3-1 overall.  Elmira ups its record to 6-2 overall.

Keuka was held to just five shots all game while Elmira finished with 20.   Despite being out-shot 12-1 in the opening 45 minutes, Keuka was able to hold Elmira scoreless as they entered the second half knotted at 0-0.

Elmira quickly grabbed the lead in the second half as Erik Lee scored an unassisted goal in the 47th minute (46:54).  The score would remain 1-0 in favor of Elmira as the Storm were out-shot 8-4 in the second half.

Senior goalie Mike Meskill (Trumansburg, N.Y./Charles O. Dickerson) finished with 13 saves while allowing just the one goal.  Elmira’s Jared Micheller stopped three shots to pick up the shutout.

Keuka will next square off against Penn State-Berks this Saturday, Oct. 3 beginning at 3 pm.
