Storm Squeak Out 1-0 Win Over Berks
October 5, 2009

Freshman Dylon Dibble assisted on the game-winning goal.
Despite being out-shot 10-8, the Keuka men’s soccer team defeated the host Nittany Lions of Penn State-Berks by a 1-0 score on Saturday.
With the win, Keuka snaps a two-game losing streak and improves to 5-3-1. Berks slips to 1-9 on the year.
Both teams were held scoreless for the game’s first 65 minutes until a Keuka throw-in by rookie Dylon Dibble (Prattsburgh, N.Y./Prattsburgh) led to a Carl Learned (Elmira, N.Y./Elmira Free Academy) goal in the 67th minute (66:07). It was Dibble’s first career assist and Learned third goal and second game-winning goal of the season.
Senior Mike Meskill (Truamsnburg, N.Y./Charles O. Dickerson) stopped three shots in goal to pick up the shutout. Berks’ Chris Beatty had four saves while suffering the loss.
Keuka will next travel to SUNY Morrisville this Wednesday, Oct. 7 for a 4 pm game.
