Men Harriers Take 10th at CCOC Championships

The Keuka men’s cross country team ran to a 10th place finish out of 14 schools at the Cross Country Only Conference (CCOC) Championships held at Seneca Lake in Geneva on Saturday.  The Storm finished with a team score of 239 while Clarkson University won the race with a score of 27.

Keuka’s Scott Matheis (Barker, N.Y./Barker) finished the 8K race in 22nd place out of 115 runners in a time of 28:21.  Junior Chris Mazella (Depew, N.Y./Depew) was the Storm’s second finisher for the first time this season as he placed 65th (31:29).

Rookies Justin Hess (Clyde, N.Y./Clyde Savannah) and David Parker (East Syracuse, N.Y./ESM) were third and fourth for Keuka as they placed 67th (31:47) and 68th (31:51).  Junior Josh Uline (Rochester, N.Y./Brighton) finished 86th in a time of 34:19.

Keuka will next compete in the NEAC Championships on Saturday, Oct. 31st at SUNYIT.
