Men’s Soccer Falls in Double OT to SUNYIT
October 25, 2009

Senior Mike Meskill had 10 saves in goal.
The last two meetings between the Keuka men’s soccer team and the SUNYIT Wildcats saw a combined five overtimes. It would only make sense that this meeting would end as a double overtime thriller. Keuka, who defeated SUNYIT 2-1 last season during the regular season and advanced in PK’s during last season’s NEAC Tournament, came out on the losing end this time. The host Wildcats pulled out a 1-0 victory.
Keuka slips to 7-5-1 overall while SUNYIT improves to 11-6.
The Wildcats limited Keuka to just two shots all game while ripping 25 of its own. Keuka was able to keep them from scoring for the first three periods as senior keeper Mike Meskill (Trumansburg, N.Y./Charles O. Dickerson) posted 10 saves.
The Wildcats finally got a shot past Meskill in the 102nd minute (101:58) of the second overtime. Daniel Twumasi kicked in a shot off a right cross from Jonathan Glossner for the game-winner.
Keuka will next play its final regular season home game this Wednesday, Oct. 28 against Cazenovia College beginning at 6 pm.
