Storm Fall in in OT in NEAC Finals; Still Going to NCAA’s
November 8, 2009

Junior Ashley Vail had 10 saves in goal.
The Keuka women’s soccer team lost a heart breaker in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Tournament Championship as they fell 1-0 to the top-seeded Nittany Lions of Penn State-Harrisburg in overtime.
Keuka (10-8), who fell to Harrisburg in overtime during the regular season as well, still gets to take the NEAC’s automatic qualifying bid due to the fact that Harrisburg is still provisional. The Storm will find out who, when, and where they are playing in the NCAA Tournament this Monday, Nov. 9.
Harrisburg finishes its season with an impressive 16-2 overall mark.
Neither team was able to get any of its shots to go into the net during the game’s first 90 minutes. But with just one minute left in the first overtime period, Harrisburg’s Corinne Mazzotta, netted the game-winner.
Harrisburg out-shot Keuka 19-3 for the game and 3-0 in the extra period. Junior goalie Ashley Vail (Rochester, N.Y./Churchville-Chili) made 10 saves while playing all 99 minutes. Harrisburg’s Brittany Adams didn’t have to make a save to pick up the shutout.
