Senior Peter Durr will help guide the Storm in 2009-10.

After posting a 7-16 mark in 2007-08, Coach Tom Flood’s crew rebounded with an 11-11 mark last season.  The return of three of its top four scorers bodes well for yet another improvement.

Flood will have the luxury of having the 6-7 Diamond Booker (Bronx, N.Y./Fredrick Douglas Acad.) patrolling the paint again.  The junior had a monstrous sophomore season, averaging 10.5 points (230) and 11.2 rebounds (247) while earning a spot on the All-NEAC second team.  Booker also led the team in blocks (44) and was second in steals (21) while shooting a team-high 57 percent from the floor.

The back-court duo of seniors Alex Coleman (Elmira, N.Y./Elmira Southside) and Peter Durr (Barneveld, N.Y./Utica Notre Dame), both All-NEAC third team selections, will provide the Storm with excellent guard play.  Coleman was second on the team in scoring at 13.4 points a contest while leading the team in assists (78) and steals (23), while draining 30 3-pointers.  Durr was third on the team in scoring at 12.5 points a game while adding 67 assists, 21 steals, and 40 long balls.

Also back in the back-court for Keuka will be senior Rob Crowley (Attica, N.Y./Attica), who shot 38 percent from behind the arc (18-for-48).  Junior Chas Tangredi (Troy, N.Y./Troy) returns to the point guard position while sophomore Alex Jones (Conklin, N.Y./Susquehanna Valley) will also be in the back-court mix.

New to the team this season will be junior transfer Calvin Logins (Newark, N.Y./Lyons) who can play both the guard and forward positions.  Joining Logins will be guards Teddy Tuggles (Rochester, N.Y./Gates-Chili), Antwan Elliott (Rochester, N.Y./Wilson-Magnet), Anthony Jones (Syracuse, N.Y./Corcoran), and Ethan Kamholtz (Penn Yan, N.Y./Penn Yan).  New to Keuka’s front-court will be Ryan Klimek (Rochester, N.Y./Greece Arcadia), Matt Thomason (Montour Falls, N.Y./Odessa-Montour), and Robby Magee (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport).

Keuka will open its 2009-10 campaign with four straight away games, beginning with Alfred University on Tuesday, November 17 beginning at 8 pm.  The Storm’s first home game will be on Saturday, January 9 against SUNYIT with a 3 pm tip-off.  Keuka will host the first round of the Wendy’s College Classic on Wednesday, Jan. 13.
