Logins Leads Storm to Second Straight Win

Led by junior Calvin Logins (Newark, N.Y./Lyons) second straight double-double, the Keuka College men’s basketball team defeated the Kangaroos of SUNY Canton by a score of 85-51 on the road Tuesday.

Keuka picks up its second straight win and improves to 2-2 overall while Canton slips to 1-6 overall.

Keuka shot an impressive 54% (36-for-67) from the floor while holding Canton to just 30% (20-for-66).  The Storm drained 16 first half field goals (47%) to hold a 37-24 halftime lead.  Keuka really caught fire in the second half, as they went off for 48 points on 60% shooting.  The Storm held a 44-36 rebound advantage while recording 12 more steals (13-1).

Logins poured in a game-high 22 points on 10-of-16 shooting while also pulling down 10 rebounds.  He fell just three steals shy of a triple-double with seven while also blocking two shots and dishing off three assists.  Junior center Diamond Booker (Fredrick Douglas Acad.) also record his second straight double-double and third in four games as he finished with 12 points and a game-high 11 rebounds.

Freshman Teddy Tuggles (Rochester, N.Y./Gates Chili) also reached double figures with 16 points while classmate Ryan Klimek (Rochester, N.Y./Greece Arcadia) had nine points and a game-high five assists.

Tony Valentin led Canton with 17 points while Deric Alston added 15.

Keuka will next travel to Penn State-Berks for a 3 pm tip-off on Saturday, Dec. 5.
