14 Players Score in Women’s Hoops Win

The women’s basketball team picked up its third straight win in a 74-54 blowout win over Penn State-Abington on Sunday. Keuka had 14 of its 15 players score while improving to 3-2 on the year. The Nittany Lions had just six players score in the game as they fall to 1-3 overall.
Keuka opened the game on fire as they shot 46% (13-for-28) from the floor while holding Abington to 33% (9-for-27) as Keuka held a 36-22 lead at the break. The Storm didn’t cool off much in the second half connecting on 13 more field goals. For the game, Keuka shot 43% while Abington shot 35%. The Storm hit 19 free throws to just nine for the Nittany Lions.
Keuka had seven players score at least six points with rookie Mariah Mouzon (Elmira heights, N.Y./Elmira Free Acad.) leading the way with 11. Fellow freshman Latasha Santana (Rochester, N.Y./East) added nine points while junior Jessica Fink (New Oxford, PA/New Oxford) chipped in eight points.
Junior Nadia Madmoune (Rome, N.Y./Rome Free Acad.) had seven points and nine rebounds while rookie Stephanie Strassner (Rochester, N.Y./Bishop Kearney) added a career-high eight rebounds.
Trisha Watson led all scorers with 22 points while hitting five 3-pointers while Samantha Frick added 18 points.
Keuka will next play host to SUNY Morrisville this Wednesday, Dec. 9 beginning at 6 pm.
