The Keuka men’s basketball team never trailed in a 69-56 win over the Mustangs of SUNY Morrisville at the Weed Physical Arts Center on Wednesday.

The Storm win for the fourth time in its last five games as they improve to 4-3 overall.  Morrisville falls 1-5 on the season.

Keuka shot at a 52 percent clip (13-for-25) in the opening half to build a 34-22 halftime lead.  The Storm edged the Mustangs in scoring in the second half (35-34).  For the game, Keuka shot 47% (27-for-57) while Morrisville struggled to a 36% clip (22-for-61).  Keuka was unselfish with the ball all game as they finished with a season-high 20 assists while having four players score in double figures.

Senior Alex Coleman (Elmira, N.Y./Southside) led the offense as he finished two assists shy of a triple-double with 16 points and a game-high 10 rebounds.  Coleman went 7-for-13 from the floor.  Junior Calvin Logins (Newark, N.Y./Lyons) led all scorers with 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting to go along with eight boards.

Junior center Diamond Booker (Bronx, N.Y./Fredrick Douglas Acad.) added 14 points and a game-high five blocks while senior Peter Durr (Barnveld, N.Y./Utica Notre Dame) chipped in with 10 points and five dimes.

Morrisville received 14 points from Kyle Gordon and 11 points from Hodges Sneed.

Keuka will next pick up a basketball after the new year as they host SUNYIT on Jan. 9 at 3 pm.
