Senior Melissa Thurston led Keuka with 17 points.
The Keuka women’s basketball team picked up its fifth straight win and second in two days by defeating the Nittany Lions of Penn State Harrisburg by a score of 61-45 on Sunday.
The Storm improve to 10-5 overall while Harrisburg slips to 8-10.
Tied 8-8 early, Keuka would out-score Harrisburg 21-14 over the rest of the first half to hold a 29-22 lead at the break. The Storm shot 12-for-27 (44%) from the floor while Harrisburg went 7-for-22 (33%). Read more
Turnovers Cost Storm in Loss to Nittany Lions

Junior Matt Thomason scored eight points and grabbed five boards in 14 minutes off the bench.
The Keuka men’s basketball team didn’t take care of the ball and wound up with a 85-69 loss at home to the Nittany Lions of Penn State-Harrisburg on Sunday.
Keuka falls for the sixth time in its last eight games and slip to 6-9 overall. Harrisburg wins its 10th game in its last 12 and improve to 12-6 overall.
After trailing 9-0 early, Keuka scored 10 straight points including eight from junior Rob Crowley (Attica, N.Y./Attica) to go up 10-8. The Storm would end up trailing 33-27 at the half. Keuka shot 32% (10-for-31) while Harrisburg went 13-for-39 (33%). Read more

Rookie Latasha Santana led keuka with six assists and four steals while adding 12 points.
The Keuka women’s basketbal team used scoring from 11 different players en route to a 68-33 win over the visiting Phoenix of Wilson College on Saturday.
Keuka wins its fourth straight game and improve to 9-5 overall. Wilson slips to 2-15 on the season.
The Storm ran away with the game from the beginning as they out-scored Wilson 36-12 in the opening half. Keuka shot an impressive 48% (15-for-31) from the floor while Wilson went just 5-for-24 (21%) from the floor. Read more

Crowley Lights Up Mustangs From Long Range

Senior Rob Crowley hit four of his five 3-point attempts.
Keuka College men’s basketball team defeated the Mustangs of SUNY Morrisville on the road by a score of 77-68 on Wednesday.
This marks the fourth straight victory over Morrisville as the Storm rise to 6-8 on the year while the Mustangs fall to 4-11.
Keuka came out shooting in the first half out-scoring Morrisville 40-28 while shooting an astonishing 62% (15-for-24) from the field. Keuka’s defense also played well in the opening half, holding Morrisville to 34% (10-for-29). The Mustangs outscored the Storm in the second half with 40 points while shooting 15-for-39 from the field. It was not enough however, as Keuka still posted 33 points in the second half while shooting 14-for-31 from the field. The two teams were close in a few offensive categories, with Keuka out-rebounding Morrisville 37-35 and the Mustangs hitting nine 3-pointers compared to the Storm’s eight. Read more

The women’s basketball team bumped their winning streak to three-games by beating the Mustangs of SUNY Morrisville on the road by a score of 59-33 on Wednesday.
Keuka’s record now stands at 8-5 while Morrisville drops to 3-15 on the year.
The Storm’s defense swarmed over the Mustangs in the first half holding Morrisville to only 11 points and a 12% field goal percentage (4-for-33). Keuka gained an early lead, shooting 33% (13-for-32) from the field while scoring 33 points in the first half. Read more
