Keuka College men’s basketball team defeated the Mustangs of SUNY Morrisville on the road by a score of 77-68 on Wednesday.

This marks the fourth straight victory over Morrisville as the Storm rise to 6-8 on the year while the Mustangs fall to 4-11.

Keuka came out shooting in the first half out-scoring Morrisville 40-28 while shooting an astonishing 62% (15-for-24) from the field.  Keuka’s defense also played well in the opening half, holding Morrisville to 34% (10-for-29).  The Mustangs outscored the Storm in the second half with 40 points while shooting 15-for-39 from the field.  It was not enough however, as Keuka still posted 33 points in the second half while shooting 14-for-31 from the field.  The two teams were close in a few offensive categories, with Keuka out-rebounding Morrisville 37-35 and the Mustangs hitting nine 3-pointers compared to the Storm’s eight.

Senior Pete Durr (Barneveld, N.Y./Utica Notre Dame) led the Storm with 14 points and five rebounds.  Durr also added three assists and a block.  Junior Calvin Logins (Newark, N.Y./Lyons) added 12 points, six rebounds, and a team-high three steals.

Senior Rob Crowley (Attica, N.Y./ Attica) chipped in with 12 points in only 11 minutes of action while hitting four of his five 3-point attempts.  Junior Matt Thomason (Odessa, N.Y./Odessa-Montour) chipped in a career high 11 points, while adding three rebounds.

Kyle Gordon led the Mustangs with 18 points and five rebounds.  Ron Tarver had 15 points and nine rebounds.

Keuka will next play Sunday, Jan. 31 at home against Penn-State Harrisburg beginning at 3 p.m.
