Wells Dishes Out 30 Assists in Win Against Storm

The Keuka College men’s basketball team dropped a 90-61 decision to the host Express of Wells College on Wednesday.  Keuka slips to 6-10 overall while Wells improves to 12-5 on the year.

Wells never shot below below 47% in a half as they jumped out to a 12-point lead (37-25) at the break.  The Express managed to shoot 52% (22-for-42) in the second half as they put up an astounding 53 second half points.  Keuka tallied 36 points on 11-of-33 shooting (33%) in the second half.  Wells passed off 30 assists out of a possible 37 field goals while also out-rebounding Keuka 48-37.

Junior center Diamond Booker (Fredrick Douglas Acad.) just missed a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds.  Booker went 6-for-10 from the floor.  Classmate Calvin Logins (Newark, N.Y./Lyons) also missed a double-double by one rebound as he finished with 14 points and nine boards.

Seniors Alex Coleman (Elmira, N.Y./Southside) and Rob Crowley (Attica, N.Y./Attica) each went 3-for-5 from behind the arc as they finished with 16 and 14 points, respectively.

Darrell Bullock led Wells with a game-high 24 points while Juan Paulino added 19 points, 17 rebounds, six assists, and five blocks.

Keuka will next play at SUNY Cobleskill this Saturday, February 6 beginning at 3 pm.
