Storm Fall in Second Half to SUNYIT

The Keuka College men’s basketball team fell to the SUNYIT Wildcats by a score of 73-63 after being tied at halftime. The game was played at SUNYIT on Sunday, as the Wildcats swept both games from Keuka this season.
Keuka drops its fourth straight contest and slip to 6-12 overall. SUNYIT improves to 16-4 overall.
A 3-pointer at the start of the second half gave Keuka an early lead but after a double technical foul, the Wildcats regained the lead and never looked back. SUNYIT hit 12-of-16 free throws attempts in the second half while shooting 45% from the floor. Keuka shot 32% from the floor in the second half.
For the game, the Storm shot 37% (23-for-63) while hitting nine 3-pointers. SUNYIT shot 41% (26-for-63) while also hitting nine long balls. The Wildcats grabbed 11 more rebounds (47-36) while Keuka doubled up SUNYIT in assists (18-9).
Senior Rob Crowley (Attica, N.Y./Attica) led the Storm offense with 14 points while making four 3-pointers. Classmate Peter Durr (Barneveld, N.Y./Utica Notre Dame) also had 14 points while making three 3-pointers. Durr added six rebounds and four assists.
Junior Calvin Logins (Newark, N.Y./Lyons) also went off for 14 points while senior Alex Coleman (Elmira, N.Y./Southside) added 10 points, six assists, and six rebounds. Junior Diamond Booker (Bronx, N.Y./Fredrick Douglas Academy) had a team-high seven rebounds.
SUNYIT was led by David Golembiowski who just missed a triple-double with 13 points, 10 rebounds, and nine blocks. Diloo Brown added a game-high 23 points.
Keuka will next play host to Cazenovia College this Wednesday, Feb. 10 beginning at 8 pm.
