The Keuka women’s basketball team won its fifth straight game as they knocked off the Nittany Lions of Penn State-Harrisburg for the second time this season by a score of 62-47 on Saturday.  The game was played at Harrisburg.

The five-game winning streak is the Storm’s third streak this season of at least five games as they improve to 16-7 on the year.  Harrisburg falls to 9-15 overall.

Keuka was consistent throughout the game, scoring 31 points in each half and limiting Harrisburg to 23 and 24 points, respectively.  The Storm held a 31-23 halftime lead and the limited the Nittany Lions to just 23% shooting in the second half.  For the game, Keuka shot 40% (23-for-57) while Harrisburg went 16-for-64 (25%).  The Storm grabbed one more rebound (44-43) while dishing out five more assists (14-9).

Keuka used a strong performance by its rookie forward Mariah Mouzon (Elmira Heights, N.Y./Elmira Free Acad.), who posted yet another double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds.  The six footer went 6-for-8 from the floor.  Junior Brittany Schrock (Elmira Heights, N.Y./Thomas Edison) was the only other Storm player in double figures with 11 points while hitting two 3-pointers.

Junior Nadia Madmoune (Rome, N.Y./Rome Free Acad.) added nine points, six rebounds, and a game-high five assists while classmate Jessica Fink (New Oxford, PA/New Oxford) also netted nine points.

Dorthea Dixon led Harrisburg in all three major stat categories with 17 points, 13 rebounds, and four assists.

Keuka will next play at Wilson College this Sunday, Feb. 21 in its final regular season game beginning at 1 pm.
