Coach Sweet, Two Players Recognized by NEAC

The women’s basketball team (18-8), who won the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) regular season championship, was well represented on the All-Conference teams in 2010.

Head Coach Dave Sweet was named the Co-Coach of the Year, with the tournament winners Penn State-Berks.  Sweet has guided the Storm to a 151-93 record over the past ten seasons.

Also recognized by the conference was juniors Brittany Schrock (Elmira Heights, N.Y./Thomas Edison) and Nadia Madmoune (Rome, N.Y./Rome Free Acad.).

Schrock, a guard, was named to the All-NEAC first team after being selected to the third team last season.  She led Keuka in scoring with 339 points (13), assists with 72 (2.8), and 3-pointers with 63 (2.4).  Schrock became the school’s all-time leader in made 3-pointers with 131.  Schrock was also second on the team in steals with 59 (2.3) while grabbing 72 rebounds (2.8).

Madmoune, a forward, repeated as a member of the All-NEAC third team.  She led Keuka in rebounding with 190 (7.6) while finishing third in scoring with 218 points (8.7).  Madmoune also led the Storm in blocks with 19 (0.8) and finished second in assists with 55 (2.2).
