Men’s Tennis Open 2010 With Conference Win

Senior Casey Dahlstrom won both of his matches.
The Keuka men’s tennis team began its 2010 season with a huge 5-4 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) win over the visiting Nittany Lions of Penn State-Harrisburg on Saturday. Harrisburg slips to 3-5 overall.
The Storm won two of the three doubles matches and then split the six singles matches. In doubles, junior Patrick Barker (Horseheads, N.Y./Horseheads) and senior Casey Dahlstrom (Grand Island, N.Y./Grand Island) won the top flight by a score of 8-5 while newcomers Kyle Stephens (Odessa, N.Y./Odessa-Montour) and Kyle Rivera (Horseheads, N.Y./Horseheads) won the third flight by a score of 9-7.
In singles, Barker won the top flight in three sets (4-6, 6-2, 6-3) while Dahlstrom also took three sets (6-2, 6-7, 6-0) to win the fourth flight. Senior Ryan Ellingworth (Syracuse, N.Y./Bishop Grimes) won the sixth flight (7-5, 7-5).
Keuka will next take on Roberts Wesleyan College on Tuesday, April 6 on the road beginning at 3 pm.
