The Keuka College women’s lacrosse team enjoyed its second straight big win over a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) opponent as they defeated Wilson College 22-2 at home on Sunday.

The Storm improve to 2-3 overall and 2-0 in the NEAC.  Keuka is out-scoring its NEAC foe’s 37-5 in two games.  Wilson slips to 0-3 overall and 0-2 in the conference.

The Storm out-scored the Phoenix 15-1 in the first half and 7-1 in the second half.  Keuka ripped 46 shots to Wilson’s three while winning the battle of ground balls (33-8) and draw controls (13-10).

Keuka had nine different players score a goal with junior Laura Dougherty (Geneva, N.Y./Geneva) leading the way with five goals and four assists.  Classmate Brandy Shafer (Rochester, N.Y./Eastridge) added four goals and two assists.  Senior Trista Partridge (Bath, N.Y./Haverling) and junior Brittany Murray (Heuvelton, N.Y./Heuvelton) each had three goals and two assists.

Courtney Potochniak (Endicott, N.Y./Maine-Endwell) scored two goals while passing off an assist while sophomore Kayla McLachlan (Schenectady, N.Y./Guilderland) chipped in with a goal and an assist.

Sophomore Brittany Madigan (Groton, N.Y./Groton) and freshman Sam Layton (Painted Post, N.Y./Corning West) each scored a goal.

Rookie goalie Molly Hogan (Horseheads, N.Y./Horseheads) stopped one shot in goal while improving to 2-0.

Keuka will next play at home this Friday, April 2 against SUNY Morrisville beginning at 4 pm.
