Men’s Tennis Suffer First Loss of Season

The Keuka men’s tennis team lost for the first time in 2010 as they were defeated at home by the Soaring Eagles of Elmira College by a score of 8-1 on Wednesday.
Keuka slips to 1-1 overall while Elmira picks up its first win of the season (1-3).
The Soaring Eagles started the match by sweeping all three doubles matches before taking five of the six singles matches. Keuka junior Blaine Phair (Pembroke, NH/Pembroke) recorded Keuka’s lone win in the third flight of singles. He won by a score 7-6 (7-3), 6-2.
The Storm will next play host to St. John Fisher College this Thursday, April 8 beginning at 4 pm.
