Late Rally Wins it For Storm

Junior Jennifer Bush led the Storm with three goals and two assists.
Trailing 11-10 to the Wildcats of Cazenovia College with under five minutes to play, the Keuka women’s lacrosse team scored four straight goals to win 14-11. The Storm improve to 6-5 overall and 6-1 in the conference. The Wildcats fall to 6-7 overall and 4-2 in the conference.
Both teams scored five goals in the first half and then the Wildcats scored four of the first five goals to open the second half. After Keuka got back with in one (11-10), the Storm rallied off four straight goals in the game’s final 4:20. Keuka out-shot Cazenovia 36-19 while picking up 47 ground balls to the Wildcats 34. The Storm dominated the draw controls (17-9).
Junior Jennifer Bush (Endwell, N.Y./Maine-Endwell) led the offense with three goals and two assists while senior Trista Partridge (Bath, N.Y./Haverling) added two goals and two assists.
Juniors Brittany Murray (Heuvelton, N.Y./Heuvelton) and Courtney Potochniak (Endicott, N.Y./Maine-Endwell) each scored three goals a piece as junior Brandy Shafer (Rochester, N.Y./Eastridge) added a pair of goals. Murray added 11 ground balls and four draw controls.
Rookie Molly Hogan (Horseheads, N.Y./Horseheads) stopped four shots in goal to pick up the win while Cazenovia finished with 10 saves.
Keuka will next play host to SUNY Maritime this Sunday, April 18 beginning at 3 pm.
