Golf Takes 8th at NEAC’s; Hoosier Earns 3rd Team Honors

Rookie Tyler Hoosier was named to the All-NEAC third team.
The Keuka College golf team finished eighth out 10 teams at the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) championships on Thursday and Friday. The rounds were played at Rutgers University-Camden in New Jersey.
The Storm finished with a final score of 715 after shooting 365 on the first day and 350 on the second. Rutgers-Camden won with a score of 636, narrowly edging Penn State-Harrisburg (641). SUNY Cobleskill took third (669) and was followed by the University of Dallas (679) and Penn State-Abington (690).
Rookie Tyler Hoosier (Saratoga, N.Y./Saratoga) finished 16th overall out of 55 golfers with a two-day total of 167. He shot an 83 the first day and an 84 the second. Hoosier earned a spot on the All-NEAC third team with his performance.
Senior Kyle Phelan (Rochester, N.Y./Greece Athena) placed 22nd overall with a score of 172. He shot a 91 the first day and then took ten strokes off with an 81 the second day. Senior Mike Meskill (Trumansburg, N.Y./Trumansburg) tied for 36th overall with a 185 (90, 95). Junior Darron Hall (Owego, N.Y./Owego) was 41st with a 190 (100, 90) while classmate Jack Reece (Rochester, N.Y./Churchville-Chili) was 47th with a 204 (105, 99).
