Barry to Direct Keuka Baseball Program
August 17, 2010

Michael Barry
Keuka College has selected Michael Barry to be its new baseball coach.
Barry comes to Keuka from Haverford (Pa.) College, where he served as assistant baseball coach since 2007.
“We are excited about having Mike as our new full-time baseball coach,” said Athletic Director David Sweet. “He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this position and we expect to see our program grow under his guidance.”
Barry served as pitching instructor at Haverford under Head Coach Dave Beccaria. The Fords posted a 24-16 record in 2010—the third most wins in school history—and finished second to Division III power Johns Hopkins in the Centennial Conference.
A former pitcher at Virginia Wesleyan College, Barry also served as assistant coach at The Catholic University of America, Centenary College of Louisiana, Virginia Wesleyan, and Andrew College.
Barry was also head pitching instructor for Headfirst Baseball’s (Washington, D.C) summer teams and camps, director of sales and marketing for All-Star Baseball Academy, and was owner of Southwest Virginia Baseball School.
He earned a Master of Science degree in sport management from Old Dominion University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Virginia Wesleyan.
Barry inherits a team that went 7-18, including 4-8 in the North Eastern Athletic Conference, last season.
