Rookie Guards Named Athletes of the Week

Freshmen guards Jessica Bandrowski (Center Moriches, N.Y./Center Moriches) and Patrick Campbell (Avon, N.Y./Avon) were named Keuka College Athletes of the Week for the week ending Jan. 29.
Bandrowski, the Storm’s point guard on its 16-1 team, led Keuka to a 45-point (82-37) win over Wells College in the team’s lone game this week. She scored a team-high 16 points while going 7-for-10 from the floor in just 19 minutes of action. Bandrowski added four rebounds, three steals, and a block. On the season, she is averaging 8.4 points a game while leading Keuka in assists (43) and steals (38).
Campbell, a shooting guard for Keuka, led the Storm in scoring in its 81-59 loss to Wells College this week. The rookie scored 15 points on 5-of-7 shooting from the floor and 4-of-6 from the charity stripe in 20 minutes of playing time. He added an assist and two rebounds. For the season, Campbell is averaging three points a game.
Women’s Basketball Enjoys 45-Point Win Over Wells

The Keuka women’s basketball team eased to a 45-point (82-37) win over the Express of Wells College on the road Saturday to run its winning streak to 10 games.
Keuka now sits at 16-1 overall and 14-1 in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) while sweeping Wells on the year. The Express slip to 3-15 overall and 3-12 in the conference.
Keuka rolled to a 16-point (37-21) halftime lead before routing the Express 45-16 in the second half to run away with the game. The Storm shot an impressive 51% (32-for-63) from the floor while the Express shot just 11-for-44 (25%). Men’s Basketball Win Streak Snapped in Loss to Wells

Freshman Patrick Campbell led Keuka with a career-high 15 points.
The Storm’s two game winning streak was snapped with an 81-59 road loss to the Express of Wells College on Saturday. Keuka slips to 3-12 overall and 2-9 in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) while dropping both games of the season to the Express. Wells improves to 9-9 overall and 8-3 in the conference.
The Storm allowed 11 first half field goals and free throws as they struggled to a nine-point (24-35) deficit at the break. Wells caught fire in the second half as they shot 54% from the floor while making 19 field goals and out-scoring Keuka by 11 (46-35). Keuka went 0-for-9 from behind the arc in the second half as they were unable to make a comeback.
For the game, Keuka shot 38% (22-for-58) while making only three of its 15 3-point attempts (20%). Wells shot 51% (30-for-59) from the floor while holding a 10-rebound advantage (45-35). Read more

Senior Basketball Players Named Athletes of the Week

Senior stars Diamond Booker (Bronx, N.Y./Fredrick Douglas Acad.) and Brittany Schrock (Elmira Heights, N.Y./Thomas Edison) were both named Keuka College Athletes of the Week for the week ending Jan. 22 after leading the Storm to a 5-1 week.
Booker, the team’s 6-7 center, helped the men’s basketball team to a 2-1 week while averaging a double-double. He shot 72% (23-for-32) from the floor while scoring 53 points (17.7), grabbing 39 rebounds (13.0), and blocking eight shots (2.7). In an overtime loss to Penn State-Berks, Booker went for 24 points, nine rebounds, and three blocks while going 10-for-10 from the floor. He then had 15 points, 22 rebounds, and two blocks while going 7-for-12 in a win over defending NEAC champions SUNYIT. He capped off his amazing week 14 points, eight rebounds, and three blocks in a win over SUNY Morrisville. Booker is now third all-time at Keuka in rebounds with 598 despite being only midway through his third year.
Schrock, the Storm’s shooting guard, helped Keuka go 3-0 on the week and improve to 15-1 on the season. She netted 33 points (11.0), dished off eight assists (2.7), and recorded 12 steals (4.0) while going 10-for-24 (.42%) from the floor. Against Penn State-Berks, Schrock had nine points, nine steals, six rebounds, and five assists. She followed that up with 14 points and two steals against SUNYIT. Schrock ended the week with 10 points in just 10 minutes of action against SUNY Morrisville. Schrock is now 15th all-time at Keuka in scoring with 811 points and is the school’s all-time leader in 3-pointers with 155.
Men’s Basketball Wins Second Straight

The Keuka men’s basketball team won its second straight game with a convincing 73-59 victory over the visiting Mustangs of SUNY Morrisville on Saturday.
The Storm improve to 3-11 overall and 2-8 in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) while they avenge its earlier season loss to the Mustangs. Morrisville slips to 4-10 overall and 3-6 in the conference.
Keuka shot 57% (13-for-23) from the floor in the first half as they jumped out to an eight-point halftime lead (35-27). Morrisville never got closer then six points down in the second half as the Storm got its lead up to as many as 19. Keuka outscored the Mustangs 38-32 in the second half. Read more
Women’s Hoops Cruise to Ninth Straight Win

The Keuka College women’s basketball team easily won its ninth straight game against the visiting Mustangs of SUNY Morrisville by a score of 70-45 on Saturday.
The Storm opened the season with a six-game winning streak and are currently riding a nine-game streak as they improve to 15-1 overall and 13-1 in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC). Morrisville slips to 2-12 overall and 2-10 in conference play.
Keuka used a 12-for-14 showing from the free throw line in the first half to jump out to a 43-22 lead at intermission. The Storm outscored the Mustangs 27-23 in the second half as Keuka shot 36% (24-for-66) from the floor while Morrisville shot 31% (18-for-59). The Storm committed only seven fouls all game as they went 17-for-23 from the free throw line and limited Morrisville to just 4-for-12.
