Keuka College’s women’s volleyball team continued its perfect play in conference and picked up its 10th straight win with a pair of three-set sweeps during Saturday’s North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) crossover competition.

Keuka swept SUNY Morrisville and SUNY Cobleskill on Day 1 of the second NEAC crossover competition of 2012 at Cazenovia College.

The Storm (15-3, 6-0 NEAC) defeated the Mustangs by scores of 25-12, 25-11 and 25-13, then handed the Fighting Tigers a loss by scores of 25-9, 25-23 and 25-22.

Keuka and Gallaudet (7-0 NEAC) are the only two schools remaining with perfect records in the conference.

Junior Paige Golden (Kent, NY/Albion) posted a pair of double-doubles, recording 12 digs with 11 kills against Morrisville, and adding 14 digs and 14 kills during the sweep of Cobleskill. She has 11 double-doubles in 18 matches.

Sophomore Devan Curtis (San Clemente, CA/San Clemente) added 6 digs, 5 aces and 2 kills and junior Taylor Smith (Webster, NY/Webster Schroeder) had 14 digs, 3 aces and 3 assists in the win over Morrisville (3-12, 1-5 NEAC).

Junior Jill Nolan (Johnson City, NY/Maine-Endwell) added 15 assists and seven digs while classmate Meg Houlihan (Elysian, MN/Minnesota State University) added five kills and two blocks against the Mustangs.

Facing Cobleskill (7-10, 1-5 NEAC), Nolan handed out 23 assists to go with 7 digs and 5 aces, sophomore Shante Paulo (Binghamton, NY/Binghamton) tied her season-high with six kills while junior Taylor Wade (Hammondsport, NY/Hammondsport) had 12 digs.

Junior Deliane Lessard (Rochester, NY/Genesee Community College) and freshman Morgan Eberley (Utica, NY/Whitesboro) each had five kills for the Green and Gold, which had a .148 hitting percentage in sweeping Cobleskill.

Keuka has not lost since a four-set setback against SUNY Fredonia on Sept. 14, part of the Hilbert Invitational. This was the ninth time during the winning streak that the Green and Gold has swept a match, and the eleventh time overall.

Keuka, which won all three matches at the first NEAC crossover competition, faces Cazenovia (10 a.m.) and SUNYIT (12 p.m.) on Sunday during the second day of the crossover competition.
