Men’s Volleyball Falls in Four to Rust College

The Keuka College men’s volleyball team won the first set of Monday night’s non-conference clash with Rust (Miss.) College, but the Storm fell in four sets inside the Weed Physical Arts Center.
Keuka (3-10) won the first set 25-17 before losing 25-18, 25-16 and 25-19 against the Bearcats (3-11).
Freshman Connor Hinman (Lethbridge, Alberta/Catholic Central) had 13 kills, 8 digs and 2 aces while junior Devin Lesch (San Diego, CA/El Cajon Valley) and sophomore Manny Fernandez (Tacoma, WA/Spanaway) each added five kills for the Green and Gold.
Hinman, Fernandez and sophomore Ryan Kelly (Clifton Springs, NY/Midlakes) each added eight digs while freshman Josh Makin (Lethbridge, Alberta/Catholic Central) had eight digs and three kills for Keuka.
Kelly added 26 assists while freshman Christopher Mooring (Chesapeake, VA/Hickory) had 7 digs, 2 kills and 2 aces in the loss for the Storm.
Keuka returns home to face Southern Vermont College at 5 p.m. Thursday, March 14 before hosting SUNYIT and D’Youville College on Saturday, March 16.
